The Nairobi kidney centre (NCK) is a unique medical facility specializing in outpatient renal dialysis, but also offers a wide range of other medical services.
In its relatively short history, the centre has established itself as the second largest outlet offering renal dialysis in the country, but still small enough to remain personal and focused.
Being a world- class facility, NKC also attracts patients from other countries o the world for treatment.
The Operation
The centre is fully and adequately equipped with the latest state –of- the –art dialysis machines, and houses a well- equipped laboratory for ease of patient evaluation.
Patients are regularly screened for HIV and Hepatitis B& C, and machines for Hepatitis B&c positive patients have been set aside to ensure maximum safety for all clients.
The Team
Nairobi kidney centre staff comprises of highly professional dialysis nurses, laboratory technicians, technical staff to attend to the machines and water treatment, and other support staff. The centre is run by a leading consultant physician and kidney specialist, Dr. F K Mwongera.
This team ensures that clients receive the best attention, care and support while undergoing treatment.
